If you are passionate about food and drinks, consider holding your next special event at a food- or beverage-inspired venue to ensure your guests will leave satisfied. There are a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, for both children's and adults-only events.

When narrowing down your list of event space contenders, decide if you want a food- or beverage-based venue, or a mix of both. If you're having a hard time choosing, use your passions, such as gourmet food or wine, as inspiration.

There are several benefits of holding your party in one of these venues, the biggest one being that you won't have to hire an outside caterer. Saving money is also a possibility as you'll be using the onsite catering service, so you may be able to get a package deal.

While the venue will most likely have a varied menu available for special events, be sure to provide a few different options for the vegans and vegetarians in your group. Also consider if any of your guests have other dietary restrictions, such as allergies or a gluten intolerance.

Following are some food- and beverage-inspired private event venue ideas to get you started:

1. Winery

A winery offers a charming, idyllic setting for a wide range of special events and occasions, including adults' birthday parties, corporate and family holiday get-togethers, bridal showers, anniversaries and weddings and receptions. Not only do they provide a selection of gourmet food and beverages, including wide samples, wineries also offer scenic backdrops for pictures.

When booking the venue, inquire as to whether you will be allowed use of the winery grounds as well. In warm spring and summer months, you may be able to enjoy your meal outdoors, as well as go on a private tour of the grounds.

2. Pizza Parlor

If you're looking for a more laid-back food-related venue, you can't go wrong with a pizza parlor. Not only will it appeal to guests of all ages, it's an affordable option if you're on a tight event-planning budget.

Pizza parlors are ideal for children's birthday parties, especially if they also offer a variety of games to play. You may also be able to rent a private room for opening presents and enjoying cake and ice cream in.

3. Italian Restaurants

When it comes to holding your event in a restaurant, an eatery serving Italian cuisine may be your best bet. Italian food appeals to a wide range of people since it offers so much variety, and it's often served family-style as well.

You can choose several meal selections for your guests, and then have them served on buffet tables. This will allow guests to pick their favorite dishes, as well as save you money.
